Australia - July, 2007

In July, Monica, Johnathan and Susannah visited Australia for 3.5 weeks. As July and August are the hottest months in Qatar, a lot of people leave on holidays during this time so we decided to join the exodus. Poor David had to stay in Qatar and work but he also travelled to London for a course while we were away and combined this with a trip to Scotland to visit relatives. Johnathan and Susannah enjoyed seeing all their cousins and Grandparents while in Australia and Monica had a busy time as she bought a house while in Adelaide (see picture above) which we will rent out. It was a tough flight with 2 kids on my own and a 8 hour stop in Singapore airport but it went as well as can be expected. Now we are all settled back in Doha and getting into a routine. It is stinking hot - above 40 degrees every day! We feel so sorry for the people who have to work outside here. David has recently taken up golf which is usually played in the evening here because of the heat, Johnathan is going to Nursery in the mornings and Susannah is trying desperately to walk but is not quite ready yet. We are planning a trip to the Ukraine in September for a wedding (our good friends from Copenhagen - Andrew and Tanya - are getting married in Kiev). That's all for now.
